David Duchovny doesn't want to
be rated 'X'
Success
is a multi-faceted gem and it shines on everyone differently.
Just ask David Duchovny. After rocketing to fame on
Fox's phenomenally popular X-Files, Duchovny is apparently
feeling a bit cheap and used. In a recent interview,
the laugh-a-minute actor told Movieline magazine (gracious
providers of the Hollywood Ink and Premieres features
found in the Focus on Film section of the Galaxy Communiqué)
that he, "...hates the aspect of the business where
actors are like kept concubines...just pay me the money
in my contract and don't treat me like a prostitute."
Pretty fervent emotion. Some people might suggest that
if it were respect and social propriety that he craved,
Mr. Duchovny might have had better luck as an IRS auditor.

Let's
chip in and hire a chauffeur for Halle Berry
She's
young. She's beautiful. And gifted with loads of talent.
Nevertheless, these may not be the most useful credentials
when it comes to operating a motor vehicle. After starring
in several similar incidents in recent years, actress
Halle Berry was once again involved in a hit-and-run
auto accident recently. Rumors of drug and alcohol abuse
have been widely circulated. However cooler heads adhere
to the more coherent theory that Ms. Berry was, at the
time of the alleged incident, too busy plucking her
eyebrows, downing a hot latte and fielding a phone call
from her agent, to notice the impending impact. In any
event, should her star ever begin to fade in Hollywood,
look for a major new player on the NASCAR circuit.
