3-Disc CD Changer with Three Separate Disc Drives
and Motorized Doors
Only
5.25 Inches Deep, Elegant Wall-Mountable System
Is An "Innovations 2001" Award Winner
LAS VEGAS, NV
CES - January 6, 2001 (Updated July 2001)
Stylishly thin, and designed to fit on any wall,
desk or shelf, Fisher's exceptional new SLIM-2000
is an innovative, multi-functional audio system
featuring a vertical-loading 3-disc CD changer.
The SLIM-2000 has been
selected for a prestigious Innovations 2001 award
at the 2001 International Consumer Electronics
Show. It will be showcased at CES from January
6-9, 2001 at the Innovations Booth #24143 located
in the Silver Pavilion of the Las Vegas Convention
Center.
Three separate disc drives,
each with its own laser pickup, ensures fast,
silent switchover from one CD to another. Discs
neednÕt be shuffled into position for play, making
the SLIM-2000's design exceptionally trouble-free.
Users can instantly access any disc in the illuminated
disc compartments for easy removal or replacement.
See-through motorized
doors make an impressive statement, presenting
the SLIM-2000's 3-CD changer in high style. The
user simply touches a single key on the remote
control, and the track-guided doors glide open
or closed smoothly and quietly.
Capable of rich, room-filling
stereo sound that belies its compact size, the
5.25 inch-deep Fisher SLIM-2000 features snap-in
CD loading and 21-selection random programming
(from 3 CDs). It will play most CD-Rs. An AM/FM
digital tuner provides 20 AM and 20 FM station
presets, and users can wake-to or sleep-to either
radio or CD tracks.
Like its Innovations
award-winning predecessors, the SLIM-1000 and
SLIM-1500, the new SLIM-2000 looks great on a
kitchen, den or office wall, as well as on a desktop
or shelf. Listen to continuous CD to CD playback
or select any track with the included remote from
the comfort of a sofa.
Key features of the SLIM-2000
also include 3-mode CD repeat play/random play,
2-way bass reflex speakers, 10-key direct access
remote control, alarm function with SureWake feature,
12-hour digital clock, and a battery backup system.
Three sets of removable
speaker covers (Black, Blue and Merlot) are included
to provide a fitting accent to any contemporary
room dˇcor.
Additional SLIM-2000
features include: a subwoofer output; large, multi-function
backlit LCD display; switchable Dynamic Bass sound
enhancement; electronic volume control; separate
bass/treble controls; stereo headphone jack; line
in/out jacks for cassette, MD player and MP3 player;
and mute function. The system features 10 watts
per channel (RMS) output and AC/DC operation.
Dimensions are 12.75"W
x 14"H x 4.75"D (main) and 8"W x 14"H x 3.5"D
(each speaker). A wall-mount bracket and mounting
hardware is included.
Suggested retail price
of the Fisher SLIM-2000 is $299.99. It will be
