Have
you heard about the sweet new game played by skate rat
syndicates? It's called Fish on a stick. They ride with
a Fisher PH-DS280 portable boombox sitting topside between
their legs. Here's how it goes. First, all the players
set their AM/FM-stereo radios to the same station. The
dynamic bass feature can be set at any level, but the
greater it is, the more intense the game feels. Then
they begin riding. The object of the game is to change
another player's radio to the classical music station
by using your remote control. Once a thrasher's station
is changed, he sits. The last one skating-that is, still
has on the original station-wins. A variation involves
changing the song playing on the unit's CD player or
cassette deck. An agreed-upon weak song is chosen as
the "out" tune. Again, the last boarder skating without
the "out" tune playing on his boomer wins.
The
high of the game is not so much winning or losing, it's
just being seen with a Fisher box on your board.
